What's my Customer ID?

If you have a previous years hunting or fishing license, your customer ID may have been printed on that license. If it wasn't or you don't have a previous years license then enter your date of birth and SSN to continue.

When will I receive my Seasonal (365 Day or Multiyear) License?

This online application will instantly issue a temporary 30-day Utah small game hunting, combination, and fishing license. After successfully completing the online purchasing process you will be able to print a temporary license to use in the field. The original will be mailed to you via U.S. mail within 14 days of purchase.

When will I receive my 3-day or 7-day Fishing License?

A 3-day and 7-day fishing license purchase will not receive any additional license by mail. The license generated by this online application is valid upon date specified, and can be used until the expiration date shown on the license.

When do I receive my Deer and Elk Permit?

After successfully completing your online purchase you will receive a receipt ONLY. This receipt may NOT be used in the field. You should receive your actual permit via U.S. mail, within 14 days of purchase. This applies to all documents issued which have a kill tag attached.

When will I receive my Temporary Possession Bobcat Tags?

After successfully completing your online purchase you will receive a receipt ONLY. This receipt may NOT be used in the field. You should receive your actual temporary possession bobcat tags via U.S. mail, within 14 days of purchase. This applies to all documents issued which have a kill tag attached. Remember: You must also have a valid furbearer license to purchase a bobcat permit and your furbearer license must be valid during the entire time you plan to trap/pursue bobcat. Furbearer licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. If you want to trap Bobcat you must obtain a trap identification number from any division office for a $5.00 fee. Trap identification numbers are not available online.

How long is my license valid?

3 day fishing, 7 day fishing and 3 day nonresident hunting licenses are valid beginning the date specified when purchased. 365 day and multiyear licenses are valid from the date of purchase and for the number of days specified on the document.

Can I print the license from my printer?

Yes you will need a printer to print your temporary hunting and fishing license. It is a good idea to test your printer by printing this page. In the case of deer and elk permits you will only be able to print a receipt, the permit will be mailed to the address given during the sale of the document.

Where can I find the Guidebooks and Regulations?

Guidebooks and Regulations are available the Division's website at wildlife.utah.gov/guidebooks. Hard copies of guidebooks can be picked up free at any license vendor.

What should I do if my license does not download?

It may take several minutes to download your license, please be patient. If the image does not load write this phone number down 801-538-4838, but do not call it yet. A copy of the image is being e-mailed to you. If you do not receive the e-mail within an hour's time frame then please call the phone number that you have written down for further assistance. You can also get help by e-mailing dwrlicensesale@utah.gov.

How can I get more information about the license I want to purchase?

If you need some assistance selecting the types of licenses, permits, and stamps that you may be required to purchase, then read about them at the DWR website at wildlife.utah.gov. Once there, follow the links pertaining to the type of wildlife activity you wish to participate in.

Where can I find Antlerless Elk or Cougar Control Permits?

Antlerless Elk & Cougar Control permits can be found under the "Special Offers for You" heading. If you do not see this heading, or the control permit you wish to purchase are not listed in this heading, then you currently do not possess a qualifying Antlered Big Game (for antlerless elk) or Cougar Harvest Objective (for cougar control) permit. If you plan to purchase both an eligible Big Game permit and a Control permit at the same time, you must first complete the purchase of the qualifying Big Game Permit and then return to the license sales system. Can I use my license on the DWR Mobile app?

Yes! Upon successfully purchasing an small game hunting, fishing or combination license, you may immediately download that license to your mobile device - and use it for verification in the field- through the Utah Hunting and Fishing mobile app. For permits that require tagging an animal carcass, you must still wait until the paper copy arrives in the mail - but you can still see details about your hunt in the mobile app. Visit wildlife.utah.gov/mobileapp to learn more.
